WORLD WIDE WEB

The World Wide Web (WWW) launched on August 6, 1991.

It provided a way of accessing

information over the Internet through Web

pages.

Within just 5 years there were more then 40 million users.

 Tim Berners-Lee the British

physicist and computer scientist is the inventor of world wide web.

He also the inventor of  uniform resource locators (URLs).

Then he created HyperText Markup Language (HTML).

Berners-Lee invented HyperText Transfer Protocol (HTTP).

Web access through the world’s 4+ billion mobile phones is an incredible opportunity. 

Berners-Lee

says, "The Web is a tool for communicating. With the Web, you

can nd out what other people mean. Let’s use the Web to create

neat, new, exciting things. Let’s use the Web to help people

understand each other."
